「多音交響」風格與創作:論鍾肇政《怒濤》之語言觀  
The Creative Style of “Multi-tone Symphony”: Chung Chao-Cheng's Language Viewpoints in “Furious Waves”

本文主要探討鍾肇政小說《怒濤》所涵的語言觀與文學風格。首先確認鍾肇政的語言認同為客語。其次再以語言認同為標準,梳理《怒濤》中不同角色與群體的相互關係。再者,從《怒濤》的結局向前回溯,對小說的重要情節做出詮釋。最終,本文推斷鍾肇政的語言觀為:語言作為一種載體,可以與所承載的內容分開。因此,日語在臺灣的消亡,並不會使臺灣喪失《怒濤》中青年知識分子的價值理想,即使這些價值理想是藉由日語以習得。

英文摘要
This paper discusses the language viewpoints and the literary style of Chung Chao-cheng's "Furious Waves". First, I discuss the linguistic identity of Chung Chao-cheng, that is, Chung Chao-cheng thinks that his own language is Hakka. Second, by the linguistic identity, I classify the characters in "Furious Waves" into several groups, and discuss the interaction between different groups. Third, through the end of "Furious Waves", I further interpret the storyline of "Furious Waves". Lastly, I discuss that content and language can be separated for Chung Chao-cheng. Therefore, even the innovative ideal is introduced into Taiwan in Japanese, Taiwan intellectuals can stick to the ideal after the decline of Japanese in Taiwan.
