This paper discusses the language viewpoints and the literary style of Chung Chao-cheng's "Furious Waves". First, I discuss the linguistic identity of Chung Chao-cheng, that is, Chung Chao-cheng thinks that his own language is Hakka. Second, by the linguistic identity, I classify the characters in "Furious Waves" into several groups, and discuss the interaction between different groups. Third, through the end of "Furious Waves", I further interpret the storyline of "Furious Waves". Lastly, I discuss that content and language can be separated for Chung Chao-cheng. Therefore, even the innovative ideal is introduced into Taiwan in Japanese, Taiwan intellectuals can stick to the ideal after the decline of Japanese in Taiwan.
