本研究主要探討中午休息時間所參與的活動、休息復甦經驗和下午自我工作績效的關聯。根據Meijman 和 Mulder (1998)的努力-復甦模型,以及Hobfoll(1989)的資源保存理論,中午休息時間所參與的活動會對休息復甦經驗產生影響力,也會進而影響下午的工作績效。214人參與本研究調查,資料分析是採SPSS5套裝軟體中的多元線性迴歸。結果顯示,中午遠離工作和放鬆經驗雖然會影響下午自我評估的工作效率、工作品質和工作整體的績效,但是中午休息時間裡所參與休閒活動會對下午自我評估工作效率產生負向關聯性。中午休息時間裡所參與的活動、休息復甦經驗和下午自我評估的工作績效的關聯性比理論還要複雜,勞工在中午休息時間裡所參與活動的決定可能不是起因於生理和心理的需求。

英文摘要
Our aim was to explore the correlations between lunchtime activities, recovery experiences, and self-rated job performance in the afternoon. According to the effort-recovery model of Meijman and Mulder (1998) and the resource conservation theory of Hobfoll (1989), lunch activities would have an impact on recovery experience, and then affect the job performance in the afternoon. 214 people participated in this survey, and the data analysis was utilized multiple linear regression. The results showed that detach work and relaxation experience at lunchtime will result in self- rated job efficiency, job quality and overall job performance in the afternoon, but leisure activities in lunchtime will have a negative correlation with the job efficiency in the afternoon. The correlation between the lunchtime activities, recovery experience, and the self-rated job performance in the afternoon seems to be more complicated than the thesis. The activity which workers participate in lunchtime may be not determined by their physical and mental needs.
